From the Calendar

A native of California, Bob Barbour has immersed himself in the surf culture and beach lifestyle for decades. As a Staff Photographer for both Surfing and Surfer Magazines, Bob's photographs have helped define the sport of Surfing. These images show a true passion for the ocean and have helped launch the careers of many legendary surfers. His spectacular photos of Mavericks, California's famous big-wave surf spot, have captured surfing history. His images have appeared in countless books, magazines, advertisements and calendars worldwide.

Bob has lived his life with the wooden station wagons surfers call "woodies", using them to cruise the coast in search of the best waves and the best photos. As a founding member of the Santa Cruz Woodies club and the event Woodies on the Wharf, Bob knows nearly every woodie still on wheels and even some that aren't. He created his first WOODIES Calendar in 1998 and his calendars have featured some the most beautiful woodies in the world. The new 2011 WOODIES calendar is no exception with a collection of some incredible cars from both the US. Also included is a bonus image with a 4-month (Sept - Dec 2010) planner page.
